K-12 School Programs : Writing New Mexico (middle school level)
The picture below links to a 15-page booklet describing some history of New Mexico as well as descriptions of day trips around the area. Read the text, look at the pictures, find the map, then write about one of the places in New Mexico that you would like to visit. As you write about the place you want to visit, try to answer the following questions:
- Why do you want to visit that place?
- What should you expect to find there?
- When would you go?
- With whom would you travel?
- Who would you want to meet there?
